Required to change the troublesome cam adjuster seal on Audi and Volkswagen 4, 6 (2.7 and 2.8) and 8 Cyl With 5 Valve per Cyl. The manual says to remove both camshafts to change the seal ... BUT using this tool you can relieve the tension on the camshaft chain and lift it up far enough to clean, remove and replace the gasket and seal. This procedure not only saves time but saves any other damage that may happen to camshafts and bearings by removing them.
